When and where is the conference?
BRAVO is at the JAG Hotel in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador from June 1- 4, 2026.
Do I need a passport?
You don’t need a passport to travel within Canada, but you do need valid government-issued ID to fly.
Do I have to provide a credit card upon arrival?
Upon arrival at the hotel, you’ll be asked to provide a credit card for any purchases made beyond what’s included in the program, such as upgrades, damages, or premium items. Attendees must use personal credit cards for incidentals, upgrades, and damages.
Are my travel and meals covered while traveling?
The recipient and their guest can spend up to $100 per person/per day on transportation expenses on travel days. The recipient and their guest can spend up to $50 per person per day on meals and snacks on travel days.
Are my expenses covered while travelling?
You and your leader will receive information via email prior to the trip regarding the amount you can expense and the process of what cost center to charge in DATABASICS.
A travel day is defined as the day you are arriving or departing from the destination.
Do I have travel options to the airport?
Yes! You will be able to select your preferred transportation method while completing your registration. If you need assistance or guidance, please contact Lorandus at the Contact Us tab above.
Can I leave my car at the airport?
Yes – you can leave your car at the airport, but any parking fees count toward the same $100 travel allowance you and your guest each receive. If your total parking + travel costs go over $100/per person the additional cost will be at your personal expense.
It is recommended to take the most cost affiant travel method. All travel expenses must be submitted in DATABASICS, and more detailed instructions will be emailed to you from Recognition Admin.
What if travel from my home airport is not available on published travel dates?
If travelling on the scheduled event dates is not possible due to limited flights from remote areas, Lorandus may manage travel costs such as accommodation and meals, with coverage determined by the program owner’s discretion.
Is transportation set up upon arrival?
Lorandus is responsible for organizing all transportation within St. John’s. Prior to the trip, you will receive detailed information about your transportation arrangements in St. John’s.
Is a carry-on and checked bag included?
Check your airline’s website for baggage rules and restrictions. Keep your receipt to get reimbursed for the first checked bag per qualifier, per direction, and guest if not included in your flight.
Can I drive to the conference?
If you choose to drive to St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador you will be reimbursed up to the cost to fly as per Lorandus. It is not recommended to drive to St. John’s given the remote location and time it would take.
Is there a taxable benefit for me or my guest to attend the conference?
Yes. According to the CRA, a taxable benefit is any economic advantage an employee receives that can be measured in money. For more information, see the taxable benefit section on the website.
Can my family and/or child(ren) join me before, during, or after the conference?
Each recipient may bring one guest to the conference. Should you wish to bring more than one individual, please note this on your registration form so Lorandus can coordinate with the hotel. Please be aware that all flight arrangements for additional guests are to be booked and paid for independently.
If you plan to bring a guest and a child who requires childcare, it is the responsibility of the recipient to arrange childcare, as the guest is expected to participate during the program dates of June 1-4, 2026. Accommodation is available for single or double occupancy; if additional attendees are requested, this must be indicated on the registration form and will incur an extra charge.
Rooms have been reserved and negotiated under the Co-operators/Lorandus contract and cannot be altered based on personal preferences for additional family members. If you elect to extend your stay or have your family join you concurrently, they must book independently, and these costs will not be covered by the contract. Can I bring a guest?
Recipients may bring one guest to the conference, though it is not required. Guests are welcome to join onsite activities except those restricted to Co-operators employees as noted in the agenda. A guest may be a spouse, partner, family member, friend, or dependent over the age of 21, but cannot be a current Co-operators employee. For any questions, contact the program administrator.
How many people can stay in a room?
A Queen room can accommodate up to 2 guests.
A Double Queen can accommodate up to 4 guests.
A King room can accommodate up to 2 guests.

Can I extend my stay in St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador?
You may extend your stay at preferred pricing by paying Lorandus for extra days up to 3 days before or after the conference (June 1-4, 2026). Be sure to indicate all extension days for yourself and any guests on your registration, as extensions are not automatic. Preferred pricing does not apply outside these windows.
Can I leave the hotel?
Yes, but you must be onsite for scheduled activities. Free time is available during “at leisure” periods or possibly on arrival or departure days, depending on your flight.
Please note that extending your stay outside the group dates of June 1-4, 2026, will be subject to hotel availability and at the attendee’s expense.
Extension rates apply per room, per night, and are valid up to three days before the program and up to three days after the program. Rates may change if you wish to extend your stay beyond these periods.* Room rates are based on room size, bed configuration, and view. Approximate cost for extensions is $250 per room, per night, plus taxes and fees.
Lorandus will coordinate any additional guest reservations or extension requests. Any charges for extensions or room upgrades will be billed to your credit card at the hotel.
Children cannot attend the conference or any related activities, so please arrange for childcare if you plan to bring children.

Do I need to bring my company laptop?
You don’t need to bring your company laptop; all conference materials will be provided onsite.
Why is my employee number required for registration?
BRAVO is required to adhere to CRA guidelines. As such, your employee number is necessary to ensure that taxable benefits are allocated correctly. If you have questions about these benefits, please consult the taxable benefit section on the website.
What is the dress code?
We suggest packing two to three business casual outfits for the business sessions, along with one semi-formal ensemble for the awards dinner.
To assist you further, dress code details are provided below and also included in our agenda:

Casual: Jeans (without rips), pants, or shorts paired with a casual shirt or t-shirt

Smart Casual: A dress, dress pants, or skirt matched with a casual shirt, blouse, or polo shirt
